Beautiful girls. Vybz Kartel and African male sexuality.

A conversation with a friend over the last few days have led me to ask myself some questions. What is sexuality? How does it look in women and how does it look in men? Why don’t we say man and woman sexuality instead of male and female sexuality? What about African sexuality and European sexuality? is their Christian sexuality or Rastafarian sexuality? How far does our analysis goes?

The first thing that came to mind at the thought of black male sexuality or African male sexuality is Vybz Kartel. I think he represents “something” that we need to understand about men and their sexuality or African men.

I remembered a music video featuring gay men who lived in the “gully of New Kingston” in Jamaica. The video used Vybz Kartel’s song “Beautiful Girls”. I am still thinking….thoughts?
